Have you ever bought the same daily planner twice?

The Tuning Notebook is best described to someone as a daily planner, but in reality, it’s much more than that.

It’s a system.

One built on a structured, adaptable framework designed to streamline and support individual success and growth.

A system to tune yourself to be a better you.

Made by a Firefighter

Michael Kokkonen, known by many as Kokko, is the inventor, designer, and owner of the Tuning Notebook.

As a full-time firefighter, Michael has spent years helping people through some of the hardest moments of their lives.

He explains:

“I wanted to help people not just when it gets bad, but even better, before it gets bad. And I thought, we all have that spark of motivation to be better when we go looking for a daily planner.

The problem I found was that the planner market is full of businesspeople who hire graphic designers to create their product and spend all their time and money on advertising, creating a product designed to be sold, not used.

When the planner doesn’t hold up, people don’t blame the product, they blame themselves. They think they can’t be consistent, or that they can’t follow a structured format. So the planner ends up in the closet, never touched again. And that spark that could’ve grown into a career, a passion, or just a happier life… goes out.

For some, that’s their last spark going out.

Meanwhile, the businesspeople selling it succeed.

That’s when I decided to start this project.”

Michael has spent over 3 years designing, testing, and refining the Tuning Notebook to create an adaptable system that genuinely works.
